Artist's Comments

A child playing in a water fountian. It reminded me of younger times, when playing in a water fountian or a sprinkler was the coolest summer thing to do. I have listen to people say "its just a fountian". Does age take away our ability to find fun in the small things of life?

My only critique is that I think I would prefer a square cropping to this, or at least a bit trimmed off the top. Otherwise I think it's great.

As for your question (Does age take away our ability to find fun in the small things of life?), sadly, I think does for so many people. I, for one, won't let it happen to me!

My art teacher told me, at the beginning of the semester, that "real art" is art that makes you /feel/ a certain way.

Well, this photo does exactly that. I want to give the kid a hug, then I want to play with him. I want to paint the world rainbow and have fun. I want to feel like that picture. I have literally, no critique.
